We built it to help you run the numbers for your next big decision, whether you're an owner-operator planning a specific project or a rental business manager looking to expand your fleet.

The calculator is designed to guide you through your decision-making process in three main steps:

1. See Your Matches & Specs: Your first result could be just one hammer, or a list of compatible SWT hydraulic breakers (often up to three) that fit your excavator. You can immediately see the key specifications for each matched model.
2. Estimate and Compare ROI: This is where you run the numbers. The tool allows you to input the price and monthly operating costs for each specific hammer model, whether you're planning for a single Project, adding to your Rental Business, or both. This lets you compare the potential payback and profit for each option.
3. Refine Your Choice: The tool provides excellent general guidance, but the "best" hammer often depends on your specific job (e.g., hard rock vs. concrete). We always recommend talking to your authorized SWT dealer to verify which of the compatible models is the perfect fit for your intended use.

How to Use It (In 5 Simple Steps)

Getting started is easy:

1. Enter Your Excavator Info: You can select your specific brand and model, or just enter your excavator's operating weight.
2. Select Your Use Case: Choose whether you're using the hammer for a 'Project', for your 'Rental Business', or both.
3. Input Your Numbers: Fill in the corresponding SWT Hydraulic Hammer price, your known costs and rates (like your hourly rate, monthly operating costs, and rental fees).
4. See Your Results: The calculator will instantly show you compatible breakers and your estimated payback period and potential profit.
5. Compare payback with warranty: Use the results to compare the payback period with the warranty offered by contacting your dealer for warranty details. We aim for a payback period well before the warranty expires for additional peace of mind. Your dealer is ready to support this goal with excellent service, maintenance schedules, and parts.

What if I don't know the hammer price? No problem. You can still use the tool. You can enter a price estimation, but we strongly suggest contacting your authorized SWT dealer for a precise quote, which you can then plug into the calculator to get the most accurate financial estimate.
